Physical, Energy, and Spiritual body
December 19th, 2008 by Phil Lawstone

Material, energy, and spirit are the basic elements that make up our physical bodies and our existence itself. The phenomenon of life is the interplay of these three elements. Not only does human life consist of these elements, but so do the lives of every living thing that surrounds us. However, when we are trapped inside a world defined only by the five physical senses, we do not realize the energy and spiritual aspects of life. All we recognize is the material phenomenon. Ilchi Lee call this the physical body.

The first body, the physical, can be seen and touched. This is the body experienced with the world of the five senses. When our bodies are supremely relaxed yet our awarenesses alert, we can feel an energy field that surrounds our bodies. This energy field permeates and envelopes us. Some people can actually see this field of energy. This is the energy body. The third body, the spiritual, cannot be sensed by the five senses. We cannot touch, smell, see, feel, or hear the spirit. Our existence here and now is a phenomenon or an output of various aspects of spirit as expressed in this particular time and space; information itself is not subject to the limitations of time or space. Absolute freedom, infinite existence—these terms refer to the sphere of the spirit.

The highest plane of activity in the phenomenon of life is information generation. If information is created, then material substance comes into being to actualize the information. The spiritual body can be said to consist of pure information. In fact, the spiritual body is analogous, in a way, with the “information body.” An example of this could be this book, a dance, or a musical performance, the act of building a house or inventing a toy. or forming an organization such as a company or nation. In fact, everything that you want to do or have ever wanted to do has been a product of new or recycled information. By generating information, you are creating the conditions under which your life exists. The process of generating information and putting it into realization can be called “creation.” You are a creator.
