Play doh Brains
July 5th, 2009 by Phil Lawstone

These lines Ilchi Lee are complete guidelines for subject.

Roll a small Play-doh “worm” to represent the spinal column. Explain that the spinal column connects our brain to the rest of our bodies.

Create a pea-sized Play-dohball in a different color. Connect the ball to the top of the Play-doh spinal column. Explain that it represents the brainstem, which controls involuntary bodily functions, like heart beat, breathing, digestion, etc.

Make three Play-doh balls in different colors. Two balls, which represent the two halves of the cerebrum, should be the size of two large gumballs, while a ball the size of a small gumball represents the cerebellum. Join the parts together with the other structures to form a complete brain. Explain how the cerebellum (the small gumball) helps us keep our balance and move our bodies, and the two large halves of the cerebrum help us think, create, speak, and learn.
