Life Moves With Natural Rhythms

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Ilchi Lee writes that consciously or unconsciously, we follow the rhythm of breathing faithfully. In accordance with the laws of breathing, we must exhale in order to inhale, or contract in order to expand again. We can fill up again when we have emptied ourselves. Life moves with natural rhythms and cycles of the universe. Our breath, our heart beat, all our crucial life functions follow this rhythm without fail. Our lives are an essential part of the rhythm of the universe.

The life of an individual, the life of a nation, and the life of each species moves according lo this rhythm. How well and healthy an organism’s life is, depends on how well and harmoniously the organism maintains this rhythm. This goes for an entire nation as well as the whole of humanity. On an individual level, we are healthy in body and mind when we adhere to the laws of breathing. On a larger plane, all of society will be in harmony when this rhythm is collectively recognized and maintained.

Ki Energy, the Bridge Linking the Body and Mind

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Brain Education, founded by Ilchi Lee includes a method of conscious breathing for the accumulation of life energy to create a Power Brain. Therefore, a basic prerequisite for Brain Education is the ability to sense and use Ki, or life energy.

Ki is the bridge linking the body and mind. Ki is the essence of life, moving and flowing freely. When Ki coalesces with enough density, it is transformed into a form of energy that we can see and touch. The continuous joining together and drifting apart of Ki energy comprises the rhythm of the phenomenon of life. Everything in existence undergoes constant change. The things that surround us, and even our selves are temporary- manifestations of Ki energy.

Although we are immersed in this grand flow of energy- every moment of our lives, we are unable to sense its currents unless our senses are properly attuned. However, we can awaken our innate ability to sense the slight, but pervasive vibrations that define our existence. Our exclusive dependence on rational thought and language has obscured our natural ability to sense the flow of energy. It is up to us to reawaken it.

By opening blockages in the energy pathways and reawakening our innate ability to sense energy flow, we can recover our health and natural balance. When you develop sensitivity to Ki and appreciation for the Ki energy within you, you will be able to utilize your body’s potential more fully. Furthermore, you will be able to utilize the information that is transmitted through energy pathways, for spiritual communication occurs through energy exchange.

Why do we need peace?

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

Lack of peace has remained an albatross around our collective necks. Peace remains a distant goal that we are forever bound to pursue yet not attain. We are subject to the whims of powerful and cynical leaders who use our universal longing for personal gain. Peace has become something unapproachable and abstract, moving farther from our grasp.

What we now need is not an intellectual understanding of peace. What we really need now is for all of us to become more peaceful, to ourselves become expression of peace. This can only happen when we undergo a fundamental and profound experience of peace.

Actualize peace in every experience in health, education, and culture Part II

Friday, July 25th, 2008

There have been many upon many academic studies done on peace already, with very little result in the actual production of peace. Peace is ultimately a human issue. If you do not understand the reality of who you are as a human being, you will be chasing false shadows of peace for the rest of your life. Before our social and political systems can change, humans must change. Not one or two people, but enough people to create a culturally significant and lasting impact on the course of universal human experience in the future. This is the goal of the Healing Society movement. I am working to make spiritual enlightenment common sense. This will lead to peace. Peace is a matter of application, rather than theory. It is a mistake to think we are contributing to peace on Earth just because we think, speak, or give lectures about peace. We cannot actualize peace with words and thoughts alone.

Peaceology, a new philosophy and application lor peace, must become the new spring from which our collective human soul draws the water of spiritual life. Peaceology must become the standard bearer of a new definition of health. Peaceology must become the rallying cry for a new generation ol social and cultural activists. Peaceology is a system centered not on one specific nation, religion, or cultural tradition but on the Earth herself. Peaceology is not for experts, but for everyone who wants a peaceful world for humanity. Peaceology does not contain difficult concepts or theories. Peaceology simply offers common sense ideas and actions for those of us who would prefer to live in a world of peace… an earth centered peace to restore health and beauty to humanity and the earth.
